Tolfenamic acid

• Class: Fenamate NSAID
• Action: It inhibits COX-2 enzyme, thereby limiting prostaglandin production.
• Indications: Inflammation and pain associated with osteoarthritis, mastitis and other inflammatory conditions.
• Dosage:               IV, IM, SC

                Large ruminants: 2-4 mg/kg IV

                Pig: 2 mg/kg IM

                Dog, Cat: 4 mg/kg SC, IM
