Tetramisole

  • Class: Imidothiazole anthemintic
  • Action: It inhibits the neuromuscular transmission of stimuli. Immediately after administration, it causes the neuromuscular spastic paralysis of the parasite. The advantage of tetramisole over other similar anthelmintics is that when used against one particular species of parasites, it at the same time kills other species, although their presence has not been clearly manifested.
