- Class: Synthetic glucocorticoids
- Action: It has typical metabolic effects of natural corticosteroids. It is having anti inflammatory action. It modifies immune responses.
- Indications: Arthritis, myositis, tendinitis, bursitis, inflammations, allergic bronchitis, asthma, food allergy, hydrocephalus in dogs, atopy, contact and flea allergy, urethritis, persistent haematuria in cats.
- Dosage:
IM 1% Soln
Cattle, Horse: 0.5 mg/kg
Calf, Pig: 2.5-5 ml Total dose
Dog, Cat: 1-3 ml Total dose
Local Treatment, IA
Large animals: 2.5-7.5 ml Total dose
Dog, Cat: 0.5-2 ml Total dose
Canine atopy, contact allergy, Flea allergy
Dog: 0.5 mg/kg BID orally for 5-10 days
Hydrocephalus
Dog: 0.5 mg/kg QID orally
Urethritis, Persistant hematuria
Cat: 2.5-5 mg in every 24-48 hours orally
