Bromocriptine

• Class: Dopamine agonist and prolactin inhibitor
• Action: It inhibits prolactin release from the anterior pituitary thereby reducing serum prolactin by a direct effect on the pituitary and/or stimulating postsynaptic dopamine receptors in the hypothalamus to cause release of prolactin-inhibitory factor.
• Indications: Pseudopregnancy, Prolactinoma
• Dosage:               Oral

               Dog: 0.01 mg/kg BW BID for 10 days
